Suspension Bridge

The suspension bridge was built in 2008.

Many volunteer hours went into building this bridge. 11,000 pounds of sakrete were moved by ATV’s up to the bridge site. In 4 hours it was all mixed and poured into the formsĀ  thanks to the 51 volunteers that showed up that day.

Over the course of 6 weeks the bridge was built on the Overlook trail spanning a swamp.

  1. My friend and i went up yesterday with a map and missed this bridge completely. I have been a hiker for over 25 years there and have seen it before, but we made a wrong turn somewhere. We now have a goal for the summer of 2012!
